Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE]

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It was established in 1929 as the Central Board of Secondary School Examinations, and later renamed in 1962. The board conducts examinations for classes X and XII, and also provides curriculum and textbooks for affiliated schools.

CBSE is one of the largest school boards in India, with over 1.5 million students appearing for its examinations every year.
