West Bengal Public Distribution System (WBPDS) portal is intended to be an one-stop information for Public Distribution System (PDS). The portal aims to bring in transparency by disseminating data, information, news etc., related to PDS.

The portal is expected to provided vital information on policies related to PDS, information on Central and State schemes, price of PDS commodities, allocation and off take details, stake holders information, fair price shop details, ration card information etc., Apart from the Centrally provided data, the portal provides links to PDS related websites of the various States to know the PDS related information.
Eligibility
1. Should be Indian citizen, Resident of West Bengal 2. Should not hold ration card in other states 3. Live and cook separately 4. Applicant and member of the family must be close relatives 5. Should not possess any other family card in the same state
How To Apply For New Ration Card Online?
1. Visit WBPDSPortal 2. Select ‘Citizen’ Menu 3. Click on ‘Apply For New Ration Card‘ 4. Enter Mobile Number to get OTP. 5. Enter OTP 6. Fill Form and Submit
Documents Required
1. Identify proof of the applicant can be any of the following: 2. Election photo ID card 3. Driving license 4. Passport 5. Any other Govt issued ID card 6. Applicant’s current residence proof should be submitted which can be any of the following document: 7. Electricity bill 8. Telephone bill 9. Latest LPG receipt 10. Bank Pass Book 11. Rental agreement/ rent paid receipt 12. Photograph of the head of the family 13. Details about the annual income of the applicant 14. Old cancelled/surrendered ration card if any
