The Backward Classes Welfare Department, a Department under the Govt. of West Bengal is working towards sustainable development of the persons belonging to the Schedules Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes of West Bengal.
The main aim of the Department is to improve the quality of life of these socially and economically backward classes and enhancement of capability of the people belonging to these communittees, so that they can be very much part & parcel of the mainstream of the Society.
How To Apply For SC/ST/OBC Certificate?
Page – I: 1. Application Form For SC/ST/OBC Certificate 2. Select District, Sub-division from dropdown list and Municipality or Block from dropdown list as per your residential jurisdiction. 3. Select SC, ST or OBC and Caste/Tribe/Community. 4. Enter your Name and Father’s Name. 5. Enter your Mobile Number(Phone Number Should Be Numeric Only). 6. Enter your Email ID. 7. Enter your Adhar Number(Adhar Number Should Be Numeric Only). 8. Enter your Date of Birth. 9. Please enter your Place of Birth(STATE, DISTRICT, POLICESTATION, VILLAGE/CITY). 10. Please fill up your Address. 11. Please fill up your Present Address for last 6 months (C/O, State, District, Police Station,Ward/Gp, Village/Para/House No./Road, Post Office, Pin Code). 12. Please fill up your Permanent Address. If Permanent Address same as Present Address then Click on ‘yes’ otherwise Click on ‘NO’ and fill up as Present Address. 13. Nationality INDIAN 14. Please Select your Religion. 15. Please Select your Gender. 16. Do you have any relative (Paternal side) cast certificate holder? if YES then give details: 17. Please fill up Certificate holder’s name 18. Please select relation with applicant. 19. 20. Enter your Certificate Number. 21. Please enter your date of issue of the Certificate. 22. Please Select your Issuing Authority. 23. Please enter your details of two (2) local referees. 24. Please fill up Name of Referee-I. 25. Please fill up Address of Referee-I. 26. Please fill up Name of Referee-II. 27. Please fill up Address of Referee-II. 28. Please fill up Whether the applicant or his family migrated from other State/Country? If you select yes (Please fill up Migration Certificate No, Date of Issue, Country, State, District, Police Station, Village/Ward, Year of Migration).] 29. Please Click on Save and Continue button to move on next page.
Page – II (Appears only for OBC type): 1. Please enter your parent service details and click on Continue button. This section is not editable if your details doesn’t belong to creamy layer rest of the from will be loaded. 2. Please fill up the Agricultural land holding (Owned by mother, father and minor children) 3. Please fill up the parents Income/Wealth details 4. Please Click on Save and Continue button to move on next page.
Page – III: 1. In this page please enter details of your supportive documents like Applicant’s Photograph, Caste identification document, Age proof, Proof of citizenship, Proof of local residence etc. 2. Then click on Submit button and take download autogenerated Application form and Acknowledgement.
