How To Check Aadhaar Bank Linking Status Online?

Follow the below steps to know Aadhaar Bank Linking Status. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID to begin.

Steps:
1. Go to the Aadhaar Bank Linking Status page 
2. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number (or) 16 digit Virtual ID
3. Enter the Security Code and
4. Finally hit the ‘Send OTP’ button

Note:
Mobile Linkage:
You must have a mobile number registered with your Aadhaar to receive the mandatory OTP for this service.

Single Result:
The portal typically displays only the last bank account successfully seeded with the NPCI mapper.

Inactive Status:
If the status is “Inactive,” it means no account is currently mapped for DBT; you must visit your bank branch to submit a seeding request.

Temporary Issues:
Note that this service has occasionally been reported as temporarily unavailable on some official apps; if the UIDAI portal fails, you can use the NPCI Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE) as an alternative.

What is Aadhaar?

Aadhaar number is a 12-digit random number issued by the UIDAI (“Authority”) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enrol to obtain Aadhaar number.

Person willing to enrol has to provide minimal demographic and biometric information during the enrolment process which is totally free of cost. An individual needs to enrol for Aadhaar only once and after de-duplication only one Aadhaar shall be generated, as the uniqueness is achieved through the process of demographic and biometric de-duplication.
