UIDAI Aadhaar Card Status
Check if your Aadhaar is generated or updated (In case you have updated at an Enrolment/Update center).
Required Details
1. You will require EID (Enrolment ID) to check your Aadhaar Status.
2. The EID is displayed on the top of your enrolment/update acknowledgement slip and contains 14 digit enrolment number (1234/12345/12345) and the 14 digit date and time (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss) of enrolment.
3. These 28 digits together form your Enrolment ID (EID).
Note:
In case if you lost EID you can retrieve lost or forgotten EID by your registered mobile number.
How To Check Aadhaar Status?
Follow the below steps to check Aadhaar status online.
Steps:
1. Go to Aadhaar Status Page
2. Enter the 14 Digit Enrolment ID (1234/12345/12345) and Mention date and time as per the acknowledgment slip (optional)
3. Then enter the Captcha Verification and
4. Finally Hit the ‘Check Status’ button
What is Aadhaar?
Aadhaar number is a 12-digit random number issued by the UIDAI (“Authority”) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enrol to obtain Aadhaar number.
Person willing to enrol has to provide minimal demographic and biometric information during the enrolment process which is totally free of cost. An individual needs to enrol for Aadhaar only once and after de-duplication only one Aadhaar shall be generated, as the uniqueness is achieved through the process of demographic and biometric de-duplication.
For Residents:
Aadhaar system provides single source offline/online identity verification across the country for the residents. Once residents enrol, they can use the Aadhaar number to authenticate and establish their identity multiple times using electronic means or through offline verification, as the case may be.
It eliminates the hassle of repeatedly providing supporting identity documents each time a resident wishes to access services, benefits and subsidies. By providing a portable proof of identity that can be verified through Aadhaar authentication on-line anytime, anywhere, the Aadhaar system enables mobility to millions of people who migrate from one part of the country to another.
