Malayalam:
Malayalam is a Dravidian language spoken by the Malayali people in the Indian state of Kerala and the union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry. It is one of 22 scheduled languages of India. Malayalam was designated a “Classical Language of India” in 2013.

Malayalam is a tonal language, which means that the pitch of a syllable can change the meaning of the word. It is also a highly inflected language, which means that the endings of words change depending on their function in the sentence.

The Malayalam script is called the Malayalam script. It is an abugida, which means that each consonant has a vowel sound associated with it. The vowels are written as diacritics above or below the consonants. The Malayalam script is written from left to right.

There are about 38 million speakers of Malayalam worldwide. The language is spoken by the majority of the population of Kerala, as well as by significant minorities in the neighboring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Malayalam is also spoken by the Malayali diaspora worldwide, especially in the Persian Gulf countries.
