To surrender a ration card in Puducherry, you must submit a formal application along with the original card to the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (DCSCA) to receive a deletion/surrender certificate. This can be done by visiting a zonal office or, if available, through the online portal of the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Puducherry.

• Select the District and enter the ration Card Number.
• OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify.
• Check the displayed card details for accuracy.
• Agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.
• User name and password will be sent via SMS to this mobile number after successful confirmation of OTP.
• User name will be your Ration card number for resetting of your password.
• Contact toll free number in case of any doubts/queries.
Note:
• When only relocating from Puducherry to another state, the head of the family must apply for the surrender of the ration card.
• After the surrender certificate is generated, any related member can download it. Once it has been downloaded, it cannot be downloaded again.
