How To Apply For HRTC HIM Bus Card in Himachal Pradesh?

You can apply for a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) HIM Bus Card online through the official HRTC Bus Pass Portal. This portal allows you to complete the entire application process, including payment and tracking, from home.

Register/Login:
Visit the HRTC Bus Pass website and create a HIMACCESS ID if you are a new user.

Login Here

Select Pass Category:
After logging in, navigate to the “Passes” section and choose the specific card you need (e.g., Smart Card, Green Card, or Samman Card).

Upload Documents:
You will need to upload a passport-sized photograph and a valid ID proof (such as Aadhaar or School/College ID).

Verification:
For certain categories like student passes, you may need to print the application, get it signed/stamped by your institution, and then re-upload the verified form.

Payment:
Complete the process by paying the card fee online.

Track Status:
You can track your application’s progress through your user dashboard.

Types of HRTC Bus

The Corporation has adopted following discount schemes for the traveling public:

Smart Card Scheme:
HRTC has introduced “SMART CARD”. Under this scheme, a smart card holder is allowed 10% concession in fare for traveling in HRTC buses. The general public can purchase the smart card against a payment of Rs. 100/- having its validity for one year.

Green Card Scheme:
Under this scheme, the card holder is allowed 25% discount in fare within the radius of 50 kms from place of issue of Green Card or place opted by him. Green Card can be purchased against a payment of Rs. 100/- having its validity for one year.

Samman Card Scheme:
HRTC has introduced a “SAMMAN CARD” scheme for Senior Citizens only. Under this scheme, a Samman Card holder allowed 30 % concession in fare in all types of buses except AC and Super Luxury buses. The general public can purchase the samman card against payment of Rs 100/- having its validity for one year.

Why to travel in HRTC buses?
It is safe and comfortable. You can book the tickets online using HRTC ONLINE Booking Portal, HRTC Booking Counters, HRTC iOS and ADROID Mobile Apps 60 days in advance. Also you can book HRTC Buses 60 days in advance at leading online booking portals, travel agents.

Registration to book online is necessary (e-ticket)?
No, registration is not mandatory. You can book tickets as guest user (without registration) and also book tickets as registered user.

Does booking online (e-booking) cost me more?
Yes. For e-ticket we charge a 1.5 percent service charges, which are non-refundable in case of cancellation.

Amount debited but ticket is not booked (Not appearing in the Booking History), what should I do?
In case your amount has been debited, but ticket does not appear in your booking history then please mail us at hrtchq@gmail.com with details like OB. Reference Number, Email address, mobile no. etc used at the time of ticket booking, Date of transaction, Name of Card Holder and Amount Debited. The amount debited will be refunded to your credit/debit card or the account / wallet used. This process will take 7 to 14 working days.

Does booking at HRTC Booking Counters cost me more?
No! There is no service charge / reservation charges at the HRTC Booking Counters.

To Carry ID proof while travelling using E-Ticket is compulsory?
Yes, you have to carry the ID Proof while travelling using an E-Ticket otherwise you may be asked to purchase a new ticket.

Is it mandatory to carry printout of E-Ticket?
No, the print out of the ticket is not mandatory to carry. However, you must know your booking Ticket Number/you can show ticket on mobile/ SMS at the time of journey.

Criteria for Child Fare?
• Children less than the age of 5 years ( < 5 years ) are allowed to travel free without providing any seat. • Children of age 5 years or above (>= 5 years) and less than 12 years (< 12 years), half of the fare will be charged.

What is mode of payments available to book E-Tickets (Online Booking)?
We have a multiple payment gateways. You can use any of these payment gateways to pay using:-

• Any Banks VISA / MASTER /Maestro / RuPay Credit or Debit Cards.
• Net banking of various banks.
• Using PayTm wallet.

Can someone else use my E-Ticket to travel?
No, Ticket is non-transferable. The tickets can be used for travel by the pserson whose name is indicated in the e-Ticket.
