Passport Seva Certificate of Identity
Certificate of Identity is normally issued to Tibetan Refugees residing in India, from the Regional Passport Office, Delhi (RPO Delhi) on recommendation by the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (HHDL), New Delhi. In addition to Tibetan refugees, Stateless people residing in India may also apply for Certificate of Identity at the Passport Office within whose jurisdiction they are currently residing. Certificate of Identity issuance is subject to clearance by Ministry of External Affairs (PSP Division).
Apply For Passport Seva Identity Certificate Online
Step 1: Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. (Click on “Register Now” link on the Home Page).
Step 2: Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the Login ID created in Step 1.
Step 3: Click “Apply for Identity Certificate” link.
Step 4: Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
Step 5: Take the printout of filled application form through the “View/Print Submitted Form” link available on the View Saved/Submitted Applications page.
Step 6: Bring printed copy of online filled application form and original documents while visiting the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, Patiala House, New Delhi/Passport Office (PO) attached to your present address for submitting your application. Refer the instruction page of printed application form for more details.
Passport Seva Identity Certificate e-Form Submission
Step 1: Download the e-Form through the “Download e-Form” link available on the Home Page.
Step 2: Fill the downloaded e-Form and click the Validate and Save button in it.This will generate an XML file, which will be required later for uploading in the system.
Step 3: Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. (Click on “Register Now” link on the Home Page).
Step 4: Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login Id.
Step 5: Upload the XML file (generated in Step 2) through the “Upload e-Form” link.Do not upload the PDF form at this stage as only XML file is accepted by the system.
Step 6: Take the printout of filled application form through the “View/Print Submitted Form” link available on the View Saved/Submitted Applications page.
Step 7: Bring printed copy of online filled application form and original documents while visiting the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, Patiala House, New Delhi/Passport Office (PO) attached to your present address for submitting your application.
