Jnana Prabodhini Prashala Admission

Jnana Prabodhini Prashala is a secondary school (Std. 5th to Std. 10th) affiliated to Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE). The admission procedure for 5th standard generally starts in the month of February.

Admissions are given only through an entrance examination. Admissions in standard 6th to 10th are given if seats are vacant and only through an entrance examination.

Admission Process

For 5th Standard

Admission forms can be filled on the website anytime throughout the year (validity: Current academic year) or can be obtained from the office after the declaration of the test date. The first round of the entrance examination is generally held on the third Sunday of February. The second round of the examination is generally held on the second Sunday of March. The exact dates are released in the first week of February.

Important Note:
According to the latest government resolution dated 18/09/2020, regarding ‘The minimum age of Admission in school’ the date range for admission in 5th standard for the academic year 2021-22 is from 31st December 2010 to 31st December 2011.

(But this limitation is relaxed from ’30th Sept 2010 to 30 Sept 2012′ by Prashala only for the Entrance Examination. Students fitting in this range may appear for the Entrance Examination. But if the Government Regulatory Body does not allow, admissions will not be granted.)

For 6th to 10th Standard

Admissions in standard 6th to 10th are given only if seats are vacant and only through an entrance examination. Admission forms can be filled on the website anytime throughout the year (validity: Current academic year) or obtained from the office after the declaration of the test date. Entrance examination is generally held on the second Sunday of May.

Admission Procedure

1. Form submission : The admission process starts normally in the month of February.
2. Entrance Exam – First round : The test consists of a battery of psychological tests.
3. Entrance Exam – Second round : The candidates scoring marks above prescribed norm are called for another test.
4. Final List : On the basis of performance in the second test the final list is declared.

2 Medium of instructions for the test and session Students can choose Marathi or English medium for the test. Parents are requested to fill the appropriate medium carefully as the questions papers will be given in the chosen language. Please check the venue, date, day, time, medium and the session(Morning – 1, Midnoon – 2, Afternoon – 3) & Group number (Marathi – 1, English – 2) printed on the Hall Ticket.

Exam Date

5th Entrance test is scheduled on 14/03/21. But it may change due to the pandemic situation.
