Bifurcation of Ration Card in Puducherry
To apply for the bifurcation (splitting) of a ration card in Puducherry, you can apply online via the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs website or through Common Service Centres (CSC). You must provide consent to use your Aadhaar number, confirm the new family resides separately, and select members to be separated from the existing card.
Steps For Citizen Registration:
• Go to the link given below
• Select the District and enter the ration Card Number.
• OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify.
• Check the displayed card details for accuracy.
• Agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.
• User name and password will be sent via SMS to this mobile number after successful confirmation of OTP.
• User name will be your Ration card number for resetting of your password.
• Contact toll free number in case of any doubts/queries.
Note:
• The applicant must provide consent to use his Aadhaar number for family card service. Additionally, the applicant must confirm that and the new family is residing separately.
• The names of members to be separated are to be selected on the existing card.
• Field verification will be conducted by the Civil Supplies Officer.
• Documents uploaded by the applicant need to be submitted during the field inspection.
• The CSO/CSI will verify the additional document required for the service, during inspection.
